| Dr. Tunishai Ford Your Friend & Guide To True Happiness!! |
Dr. T, the host of The Dr. Tunishai Ford Show is looking for the best singers, comedians,
and spoken word artists in Michigan to be a part of The Concert featuring Angie Stone,
Jazmine Sullivan, and Dwelle on Saturday, July 16th at the Music Hall.
The Dr. Tunishai Ford Show airs every Sunday morning at 11:00am on MYTV20. Dr.
Tunishai Ford is a motivational speaker, author and life coach who is also the CEO of
Your Own Uniqueness, Inc. which is a non-profit organization that empowers women and
children to overcome barriers that keep them from reaching their full potential.
Do you have what it takes to receive your big break to open for major performing
artists? Dr. T is looking for you! The competition begins June 15th and will run for five
weeks with four weeks of preliminary rounds and finals in the fifth week. Registration
begins Wednesday, June 8th and the competition will be held at 25 West Grand River
off Woodward at Club Jam at 8:00pm. The registration fee is $50.00 to enter
competitions. Your registration fee will get the following:
A DVD copy of your performance,
Your name and photo on promotional flyers and posters,
A clip of your performance will be seen on The Dr. Tunishai Ford Show, and
Your entire performance will be shown on the Dr. T Ford Website (www.drtford.com),
so the public can vote
on the best performances.
Competition Registration and Performance Schedules:
Registration deadline for June 15th competition is on June 8th
Registration deadline for June 22nd competition is on June 15th
Registration deadline for June 29th competition is on June 22nd
Registration deadline for July 6th competition is on June 29th
The final competition on July 13th will decide the final three winners.
Our Entertainment Industry judges along with voters from the website will narrow down
from many hopefuls who will be performing at Detroit’s hottest venues to the three most
talented artists. This is your chance to be heard. Don’t miss your opportunity to be a
part of this great event.
The grand prize winners will be the opening acts for Angie Stone, Jazmine Sullivan, and
Dwelle on Saturday,
July 16th at the Music Hall. The grand prize winners will also receive:
Their entire performances will be aired on The Dr. Tunishai Ford Show,
A full interview will Dr. T will be televised on the show,
They will have a production session with a nationally known producer,
Their names will be on all advertising, and
They each will receive a $300.00 performance fee for their participation in the concert on
July 16th including
complimentary hotel room and ground transportation.
Rules of Competition:
1. All performances must be family friendly.
2. Artists will be allowed to perform up to 3 songs - 12 minute limit for each Artist
3. Performances will be judged on stage presence, originality, and audience reaction.
4. Performances will also be judged by a panel of industry professional judges and
viewers of The Dr. Tunishai
Ford Show and visitors of the DRTFORD website.
5. One performer each week will be selected to compete in the finals.
